The Duke Of York offers many guests a bright and clean room with a gorgeous view, often described as the best in Whitby, with some rooms even providing a little sectioned area on the patio. Its location is considered perfect, right on the beach, close to local sights, and with a beer garden overlooking the sea. Breakfast receives high praise, and rooms are generally spacious, equipped with amenities like an ironing board and coffee maker; however, some guests in certain rooms have occasionally noted noise from live music, particularly on weekends.

Great Views, Good Breakfast

The harbor view from the bedroom was beautiful, especially from the bed. I found the location very central, just a short walk from everything. Breakfast was served in the pub, it was plentiful and tasty, even for me, someone from Europe. The staff was friendly, they always tried to assist with a smile.
